The company’s name, „Levant“ comes from a French word meaning „East“ and it refers to its oriental roots. Levant Foods trade has taken place since Medieval times on the route connecting Europe with the Eastern part of the globe. Family business
Over 30 years ago, the idea for a commercial activity was a natural continuation of tradition. The company's founder, Dr. Kasem Bahloul, comes from a Palestinian merchant family known for its trade to this day. These patterns are still continued, and the Management Board manages to ensure the dynamic development of the Company while maintaining its family character. The company's capital is 100% Polish.
The purchase of a property on Smoluchowskiego Street in Poznań
The purchase of a property on Smoluchowskiego Street in the western part of Poznań has created new opportunities for the company's development. A dedicated solution in the form of a cold storage facility has ensured the proper storage of food products offered by the Food Service Department. Office buildings and spacious warehouse halls have provided excellent conditions for conducting business, benefiting both customers and employees.
Production Plant Miko Plus
Miko PLUS Sp. z o. o. is a production plant dedicated to such products as Tahini, sesame paste under the Jasmeen brand, the highest quality coffee creamers and milks under the Champion brand and lemon juice for tea - all present on the market since the early 1990s. The plant uses the HACCP quality system and the IFS (International Food Standard) certificate, and the company is equipped with world-class production lines.
LOGISTIC AND DISTRIBUTION CENTER IN KOMORNIKI
In the first stage of the project, in 2012, Levant Foods purchased warehouse space, where over 6,000 m2 can accommodate 16,000 pallets, arranged in a system of 5-level racks. In turn, 17 loading docks guarantee efficient flow of goods.
Ambitious development plans, functional character and excellent location were part of the reasons for making the decision to develop the project and purchase another hall. Currently, this modern distribution investment occupies over 13,650 m2 of usable space, creating an opportunity to maximize the company's operational capabilities.
Production Plant in Września
Levant Foods, as an importer, exporter and manufacturer of food products, has owned a production plant in Września since 2018, which deals with packaging, among others: spices and dried fruit, supplying products to retail chains and meeting all market expectations. The offer includes dried fruits, dried fruits, seeds, grains and seeds, food concentrates and spices in various sizes of packages. 5 production lines allow for a maximum production capacity of 64,000. change of packaging. Investments and modernizations necessary to expand the product range are planned periodically.
Dairy in Buk
It is one of the oldest dairies in Poland, the date of its establishment dates back to 1882. Since 2020, it has been owned by Levant Foods and has been successfully developing in the repertoire of brands such as Champion, Jasmeen and production for international private labels, combining tradition, experience, craftsmanship and wide horizons.
Cottage cheese, cheesecake and cream cheese are just part of the sophisticated dairy assortment available to customers under the Champion brand. Under the Jasmeen brand, specialties are created based on valuable Middle Eastern recipes, such as labneh - a slightly salty Arabic-type cheese, or mussanara - a mild brine cheese. These unique products, in line with the latest trends, are becoming a permanent menu item in recognized restaurants, and they also please gourmets at home.
